Best Miscrits to train:
There are a lot of miscrits and its definitely overwhelming with so many choices. The best advice to all is just pick any four most powerful miscrits from the same elemental group and just start training.
Why same elemental group?
Because miscrits from the same elemental group complement each other very well in battles.
How to choose the best miscrits?
Consider this simple equation it applies to almost all miscrits. Strong defenses, health and powerful attack(s). The better the skillset the higher your chances of winning.
Stats can be corrected with relics and assigning trainers but if the skillset is not good, there is nothing you can do.

What miscrits to have in your team?
Every miscrits in your team must complement each other if one lacks confuse you must add one that has it. Have two miscrits with final moves that heal and strong defenses so that you can stand against tough opponents. Inferno is one such miscrit with powerful defenses with final move that heals.

Think ahead of the battle, make sure at least two of your miscrits have negate move. You can use only one negate potion in a battle save it till the time of certainity.
Speed is important:
Do not underestimate it. Your opponent can get one free turn if all your miscrits speed are weak or moderate. Make sure you have at least one miscrit with high speed.
